Late Registration

Montana is one of only a handful of states that allow late registration.  Most states require a voter to register 30 days prior to an election to be eligible to vote.  In Montana, one can register during that 29 day window or on Election Day.  However, due to high turnout, our office strongly urges everyone to be registered prior to Election Day.  This will save the voter time and supports the process. Due note: the only time our office does not issue ballots is between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. the day before any election.

Late Registration occurs at the Missoula County Elections Center at the Fairgrounds (Building 15)

If you have any questions, please call our office at (406) 258-4751.
