There are two types of illness caused by species of Salmonella.  One is the gastrointestinal infection commonly associated with undercooked eggs or chicken, while the other is a much more serious illness called typhoid fever.  Typhoid fever is different from other Salmonella infections.  For one, animals are not the common source for this type of bacteria.  Instead, it's humans.....more
