Environmental Health: Well Permits
Well Permitting is NEW in 2010
The Missoula City-County Board of Health adopted a new regulation in its Health Code. Regulation 5 was adopted on October 15, 2009, and went into effect on January 1, 2010.
The purpose of the new regulation is to protect the Missoula Valley Aquifer and make sure wells are properly located away from sources of contamination by creating a well permitting program through Missoula City-County Health Department.
