HOSTS: Wild and cultivated roses.

DESCRIPTION: Adults are tiny wasps; larvae are tiny, whitish, and maggot-like.

LIFE CYCLE: Immature wasps overwinter in galls on rose stems, leaves, buds and roots. Wasps emerge in the spring.

CONTROLS: Prune out and destroy galls as they appear in late summer and fall.
