 CDBG and HOME Calendar

Early January 4Potential projects are identified at Community Needs Assessment meeting

4Application workshop for CDBG and HOME is held
Early February 4Letters of intent to apply for CDBG or HOME are due
Early March 4Applications for HOME and CDBG are due
March/April 4Applications are reviewed and ranked by GCP staff

4Staff's recommendations are forwarded to City Council and included in City's draft Annual Action Plan; notice is placed in newspaper twice

4Presentation of recommendations are made before City Administration and Finance (A&F) Committee


4A&F Committee meets again for further consideration, if needed

4Public hearing is held before City Council

4Draft Annual Action Plan for next Program Year is submitted to HUD (no less than 45 days before start of Program Year)

June 4Previous program year ends (June 30)

4HUD approves Annual Action Plan

4Contracts with awardees are prepared and taken to A&F Committee and City Council for approval (no earlier than April 1, but after allocation is announced); once approved, are signed by awardees and Mayor

July 4New program year begins (July 1)
July-September 4GCP prepares environmental review record (ERR) of projects

4HOME/CDBG projects being once under contract and ERR completed
September 30 4Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for previous Program Year is submitted to HUD
 Oct. 10, Jan. 10, April 10, and July 10 Quarterly reports are due from grantees
