Health Services - EAT SMART - Food Guide Pyramid

One size doesn't fit all. Why should your nutrition be any different?
In 2005, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) unveiled a new food guide pyramid called MyPyramid: Steps to a Healthier You.
This updated food pyramid is designed to offer personalized eating plans, interactive tools to help you plan and access your food choices, and information to help you:
- Make smart choices from every food group
- Find your balance between food and physical activity
- Get the most nutrition out of your calories
- Stay within your daily calorie needs
Visit www.mypyramid.gov to try out these personalized, interactive tools:
- MyPyramid Menu Planner - plan meals that include healthy food choices from all food groups
- MyPyramid Tracker - assess your dietary intake by and find out how close you come to meeting (or exceeding) your daily recommendations for each of the food groups as well as total calories fats, cholesterol, sodium, etc.
- Pregnancy & Breastfeeding - nutrition during and after pregnancy is so important that MyPyramid has recently added this section just for you!
- MyPyramid for Kids - information and activities specifically designed for kids
