Air Quality - UM Biomass Boiler Permit Portal
Background:
On April 6, 2011, The University of Montana (UM) submitted a biomass boiler permit application for a woody biomass gasification boiler. The boiler will produce steam as a source of power and heat for the university.
* Complete application received on April 22, 2011.

The Department reviewed the permit application, and on June 2,
2011, the Department issued a preliminary determination to issue an air
quality permit with conditions to UM.
* UM biomass boiler permit was issued with modifications by the Air Pollution Control Board on December 15, 2011. A copy of the final modified permit is available at the web page, "The UM biomass boiler permit, application and appeal process."
