County Auditor: Barbara Berens

Barbara Berens was first elected Missoula County Auditor in November 2002 and was re-elected in 2006 and 2010.
Barbara was born and raised in Elmhurst, IL. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BA in History in 1972 and an MBA in 1976. She worked in the private sector in San Francisco and Los Angeles before she moved to Montana in 1988. Barbara was Regional Controller for Mountain West Coop (Cenex) for 13 years prior to her election. She is a Cerfied Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Barbara is a member of the Missoula County Airport Authority, the Mayor’s Downtown Advisory Commission, and the Missoula County Impact Fee Advisory Committee.
