What is the goal of the Missoula Development Park?

Goals of the Missoula Development Park include improving the economic vitality of the County and creating quality jobs. The Park is being developed into an attractive and pleasant place to work. Also, the Park has a campus environment with buildings and streets located in a park-like setting, with common architectural and landscape elements. Other improvements include a system of parks and trails.

Who is the Missoula County Airport Industrial District?

Missoula County is the owner of the Missoula Development Park. The District is a three member Board made up of the Missoula Board of County Commissioners who oversee the Park.

What types of uses are allowed within the Missoula Development Park?

The Missoula Development Park has a Special Zoning District, which accommodates hotel/conference centers, restaurants, convenience and specialty stores, gas stations, banks, cultural centers, research and development (technical training facilities and business and technology parks), warehouses, manufacturing, parks and trails.

How does tax increment financing work?

The Missoula Development Park has two Tax Increment Financing Districts. Much of the tax funds are used to further develop the infrastructure in order to foster industrial and technology developments in this area.

What is the Missoula Development Authority?

The Missoula Authority (MDA). The MDA is a seven-member board (plus two non-voting members) that maintains oversight of the development, management, and marketing of the Park. Click for more information on the MDA.

What is the Missoula Development Authority Technology District Advisory Board (MDATDB)
In 2007, the Board of County Commissioners appointed the Missoula Development Authority Technology District Advisory Board (MDATDB).  The MDATDB is an eight member board (seven members of the Missoula Development Authority, plus one member of the Technology District) that maintains oversight of the development, management, and marketing of the Technology District.
When does the Missoula Development Authority and the Missoula Development Authority Technology District Advisory Board (MDATDB) meet?

The MDA and MDATDB meet once per month. Meetings are usually held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:15 PM in Room 201 of the County Courthouse Annex at 200 W. Broadway in downtown Missoula. Meetings are open to the public.

What is the Missoula Development Park Property Owners' Association?
In 2007, the Missoula Development Park Property Owners' Association was created.  The association is a seven member board that oversees the covenants and bylaws of the association.   The association meets as the need arises.
