As shown in the map above, Missoula is located at the hub of five valleys and in close proximity to many of the beautiful mountain ranges that surround the Missoula Valley area.
The Missoula Development Park has a Special Zoning District, which accommodates such businesses as hotel/conference centers, restaurants, convenience and specialty stores, gas stations, banks, cultural centers, research and development (technical training facilities and business and technology parks) warehouses, manufacturing, parks and trails.

About the area:
Missoula County covers approximately 2,600 square miles in the western part of the state. Five large valleys and two major rivers wind through this mountainous region. Missoula County has a population of over 90,000 people and the county seat is Missoula.
Outdoor Activities:
Missoula is also referred to as the "Garden City" because of its relatively mild winters as compared to other areas of the State of Montana. There are many activities to enjoy in and around the Missoula area such as hiking, horseback riding, skiing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing (both indoors and outdoors), snowboarding, all summer water sports, hunting, camping, and riding mountain bikes on some of the beautiful mountain trails.
