TYPE OF ELECTION - Poll or by Mail?

This is an all mail ballot election. All active and provisional voters registered to vote in Ward 2 will automatically receive a ballot in the mail.
Ballots mail August 24th.



In order to participate, voters must be registered by the close of registration at 5:00pm on Monday, August 17th. If you are an inactive voter who was not automatically sent a ballot, you may reactivate your status before 12:00pm Monday, September 14th.

Elections Center Located at the Fairgrounds:

Fine Arts Building (#15) at the Missoula County Fairgrounds
1101 South Ave West, Missoula, MT 59801

The Elections Center is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from April 20th through May 5th. Ample parking is available and the center is fully staffed allowing prompt service.


The Missoula County Elections Office urges Voters to visit the Elections Center for all their voting needs. Individuals should visit the Fairgrounds location for:

  • Replacement ballots

  • Ballot drop off

  • ADA accessible AutoMark voting machine

  • Beat the rush and come early!


Replacement Ballots:

Replacement ballots may be obtained at the Elections Center at the Missoula County Fairgrounds weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Undeliverable Ballots

Ballots are unable to be forwarded through the postal service. If a mailing address is no longer active, the ballot will return to our office. Upon return to our office as undeliverable, we immediately mail a forwardable confirmation postcard to capture the voter’s new address information. If voters wish to pick up their ballot, they may do so in person at the Fairgrounds Election Center. If an individual would like to pick up an undeliverable ballot on behalf of another voter, our office must be provided with a signed request granting permission.
