CBS Application Forms Will Be Available April 3, 2015
Missoula County will be accepting applications from governmental or health and human service nonprofit organizations that provide basic needs assistance to at-risk populations, or prevent or reduce homelessness in Missoula County. Priority will be given to projects or services that provide food, medical services, shelter and emergency transportation to at-risk and homeless populations. Organizations and agencies that presently receive funding from Missoula County's Community-Based Services (CBS) Program (formerly CBO Program) and plan to apply for Fiscal Year 2016 funding may complete an application form and one-page budget form.
For more information, please call (406) 258-3612 or email email@example.com to be placed on the mailing list. New applicants and new programs (those organizations or programs that have not received County funding in the past) will have to call (406) 258-3612 to determine eligibility.
To be eligible for funding, applicant agencies must either have not-for-profit status or be a governmental agency. Only complete and on-time applications, due Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. will be considered. Continued funding is not automatic and should not be assumed for future years.
Application forms will be available for download on April 3, 2015. The application includes instructions and a checklist of items to be returned. The Abstract is the only portion of the application that asks for information about the organization or agency. The Project Narrative requests information only for the project or services where Missoula County funds will be used to further the organization's goals stated in the application. Applications should provide clear, concise information, with both quantitative and qualitative documentation of the need(s) for which funding is requested. Priority will be given to programs that provide food, medical services, shelter, and emergency transportation, to at-risk and homeless populations.
As in the past, applications for County funding will be reviewed and ranked according to specific criteria and considered in the context of available funding. Enhanced levels of funding are not anticipated. The process is a competitive one and receipt of funding in the past does not ensure funding in Fiscal Year 2016.
An original and seven hard
copies of the application, and an electronic copy in Word, must be
complete and received on time to Department of Grants and
Community Programs, 223 W. Alder by 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015.
