Health Boards - Home
Welcome to the Missoula City-County Health Department's website for the Health, Air Pollution Control, and Water Quality District Boards. Each board has it's own section with links to calendars, agendas, meeting minutes, and contact information. Follow the links below or on the left hand menu to each of the board's pages.
These are joint City-County boards sharing a common overall mission, guiding principles, and strategic plan in order to protect public health. The work of their seven members (with one additional member on the Water Quality District Board) is supported by the Missoula City-County Health Department, and the Maternal and Child Health, Air Quality, and Water Quality Advisory Councils.
Board Membership
The same seven members serve on all three boards, with the exception of an eighth member who serves on the Water Quality District Board.
Appointment to the Boards
One at-large member, who must be a licensed physician, is appointed by the Board of Health to serve a three year term, subject to approval by the Board of County Commissioners and the City Council.
