WIC Program description & clinic locations
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is a nutrition education program that provides healthy foods, nutrition information and referrals to health and social services in the community.
Missoula County WIC clinic location and schedules:

WIC Services
WIC participants benefit from a wide variety of services including:
- Nutrition screening, education and counseling to improve eating behaviors and reduce or eliminate nutrition problems
- Access to preventive health programs and referrals to private and public health providers
- Vouchers to purchase healthy foods at supermarkets across Montana
- Breastfeeding support and counseling
WIC also offers the following services:
- Vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables at seasonal farmer's markets
- FREE breast pumps
- Informational materials
- Nutrition and health related videos
- Cooking classes provided by EFNEP
- Prenatal classes
- Bone density testing
- Regular monitoring of infants and children
- Dental screening and referrals
- Access to low cost well child exams through Partnership Health Center
- Referrals to over 250 local health and social services
WIC eligibility
WIC is available to:
- Pregnant women
- Breastfeeding women
- Postpartum women
- Women whose pregnancy ended early
- Infants
- Children up to the age of five
Those caring for young children including mothers, fathers, grandparents, legal guardians and foster parents are encouraged to apply to the Montana WIC Program.

- WIC participation will NOT reduce Food Stamps or TANF benefits.
- You do NOT have to participate in another program to participate in WIC.
WIC Appointments
To be eligible for WIC, you must meet the income guidelines and be able to provide other specific documentations including identification and proof of Montana state residency. Details of these documents are listed below. When you call to set up an appointment we'll let you know what else you'll need to bring! (406) 258-4740.
PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION (for each member applying for WIC):
Adults:
- Current photo ID: driver's license, work/school ID, military ID or passport
- If no picture ID is available then bring a Social Security Card or Birth Certificate
Infants and Children:
- Social Security Card
- Medicaid card
- Birth certificate
- Immunization records
PROOF OF CURRENT RESIDENCE:
One of these documents with your current Montana address:
- Utility bill: (land line phone, heat, water, internet, cable,
garbage)
Note: Bills addressed to P.O. Boxes can only be used if the physical address is also stated on the bill. - Rent receipt, Lease agreement
- Mortgage receipt, Property tax receipt
PROOF OF TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME:
Bring any of the following, such as:
- A full month of current pay stubs showing gross income for all members of the household that are employed
- Income tax return
- Proof of current participation in TANF
- Medicaid card (participant specific)
- Food Stamp card
- DFS participants may show a DFS award letter
- Self employed? You may bring current ledger sheets
- Unemployed? You may bring current unemployment stubs
- Military participants may bring a full month of their Leave & Earning Statements
