Rewrite - UPDATES!
The Missoula Consolidated Planning Board is scheduled to hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to Missoula County Subdivision Regulations Article 5, entitled “Procedures for Subdivision Review, Variances and Appeals.” Recommended changes to this chapter result in changes to limited portions of Articles 1 and 7, which are also recommended for adoption. The hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in City Council Chambers, 140 W. Pine Street, Missoula.
This subject matter involves the subdivision review process, from required meetings to public review of subdivision applications. View the memo here.
Missoula County Floodplain Regulations Update Project
The Missoula County Floodplain Regulations are currently being updated and Community and Planning Services Staff would like you to participate in this effort. The project website will provide information on upcoming events, background information, and draft regulations as they are developed. Please feel free to submit comments and questions.
East Missoula Land Use
Missoula County was recently selected to receive technical assistance from the New Mobility West program at no charge to the county to examine land uses, roadway designs, and market-feasible development opportunities along Highway 200 through East Missoula from Easy Street to the Speedway/Montana 200 intersection. East Missoula business owners, land owners, and community members will work together to develop a vision for this section of Highway 200. This project is a partnership between Missoula County, the East Missoula Community Council, the New Mobility West program, and PUMA, a private sector planning and development consultant.

The Missoula County Shoreline Regulations -
The draft Missoula County Shoreline Regulations were reviewed by the Missoula Consolidated Planning Board on December 2, 2014. The Planning Board moved that the proposed amendments to the Missoula County Shoreline Regulations be recommended to the Missoula County Commissioners for adoption.
The Missoula County Commissioners have continued the hearing on the amended shoreline regulations until April 22, 2015, 1:30 p.m.

ONLINE FLOODPLAIN TOOL
Floodplain Status of County parcels per the FEMA floodplain maps can now be checked online using the Chrome internet browser which is available free from Google here:
By entering the parcel's address or geocode number, you can view the approximate boundaries of the 1988 FEMA floodplain maps in addition to the July 6, 2015 FEMA maps: http://gis.co.missoula.mt.us/CAPS/Floodplain/.
