Recovering from wildland fires and other disasters is a long process.
If you have not yet reached out to your insurance agent, please make contact with them as soon as you can. Below are some links that we hope will be helpful:
The Resource Guide Personal Inventory Tool - This tool is designed to help homeowners create an inventory that can be used when working with your insurance agent. This excel spreadsheet has a list of approximately 6,000 common household items to help home owners document lost items.
DNRC Fire Rehabilitation Assistance - this PDF brochure (you will need Adobe PDF viewer to view this document) lists some of the Local, State and Federal Agencies that have programs to help homeowners after a wildland fire.
The American Red Cross - This site provides information on how the Red Cross can help after the disaster. In addition, the Red Cross may be able to help provide for immediate needs please call the Red Cross at (800) ARC-MONT (800-272-6668) and ask to speak with a case worker.
