   How do I find out what my property is zoned?

   Can I do a business out of my home?

   Where do I apply for a business license?

Start with the City Finance Office located in City Hall or call 552-6110.


   What are my setbacks?

   How do I get a Sign Permit for my business?

   What types of Grants are available?

OPG offers many types of grants. Contact OPG at 258-4657 and we will put you in touch with the appropriate person. You can also visit the Grants Division web page for more information (http://www.co.missoula.mt.us/opgweb/Grants)


   Can I get a grant to purchase a home?

There is a first time home buyers grant available for qualifying applicants. Contact OPG at 258-4657 to talk to the First Time Home Owner program staff person.


   Do I qualify for a grant to help connect to City sewer?

There are some grants available to connect to City sewer. Contact OPG at 258-4657 and we will put you in touch with the appropriate person.


   Can I get a grant to start a business?

OPG does not offer grants for opening businesses but there are other agencies that can assist. Call OPG for more information at 258-4657.


   Can I subdivide my property?

  How do I find out what my neighbor is planning on doing with their property?

  How do I find out about Covenants?

When a subdivision is filed a copy of the Covenants are filed along with it. You can find these at the Clerk & Recorders office located in the Missoula County Courthouse.


  Where can I get a Zoning Map?

These are available on our website (http://www.co.missoula.mt.us/opgweb/Admin/OPGMaps.htm) or by coming to the Office of Planning and Grants to purchase a copy.


  How do I contact Board members?

The Office of Planning and Grants supports several boards and committees. Board information is posted on either the City webpage or the OPG webpage. Whenever the board is posted on the city webpage, a link from OPG is made available. (http://www.co.missoula.mt.us/opgweb/Agendas_Minutes.htm#Agenda)  To get information to Board members, email opg@co.missoula.mt.us


  Do you take credit cards?

No, we accept cash, checks or money orders made out to the Office of Planning and Grants.


  Where is your office located?

435 Ryman which is City Hall. Our office is on the first floor; if you enter on the Spruce Street side you will be right at our door.


  Can I find Maps and Documents on the web?

Yes, OPG has most of its plans and regulations on the web (http://www.co.missoula.mt.us/opgweb/Documents.htm) as well as maps (http://www.co.missoula.mt.us/opgweb/Admin/OPGMaps.htm).


  How can I get a comment submitted on a project?

There are several ways: 1) Attend the public meeting and make comment at the meeting; 2) Submit your comment in writing and send it to Office of Planning and Grants, 435 Ryman, Missoula, MT 59802; or 3) email your comment to opg@co.missoula.mt.us.
