ATTENTION PROPERTY INFORMATION USERS:
Missoula County has recently migrated to a new, back-end database for tax and property information. As a result we have been migrating our current Property Information System to reflect these changes. The tax and related property information is not up-to-date as of April 6, 2011. This also means that any tax payments will not be reflected in our current system. If you wish to check to see your tax payment status, please use our online tax payment system. Enter in your TaxID or name and then click on the History tab at the top of the page to view your payment history. We apologize for the inconvenience and will alert users just as soon as our current system has been updated.

Welcome to the Missoula County Property Information System. You will notice things have changed a bit on the pages but the function is still the same
as it was before. The presentation pages have been updated in order to be compliant to web standards. We have also provided improved navigation to
help you find what you need. There are links to the older search and report pages for property and records searches as well as links to the
the new Property Information System.
New Property Information System
We have recently launched our newest version of the Property Information System.
This new system is Flash-based and will require
Adobe's Flash Version
10 plugin to function. When downloading Flash player from Adobe's site,
please be sure to uncheck boxes for additional plugins they provide if you do
not want anything other than the Flash player. The new system will
work in all major browsers as well as Internet Explorer 6.
Older Property Information System
Our older version is still available and can be accessed by using the links on
the left part of this page.
Understanding Property Tax Bills
For detailed information on how your property is assessed for taxes visit the
State of Montana's Department of Revenue's page for individual property
taxes. They provide a link to a brochure entitled Understanding Property Taxes.
Reporting Problems
To email a comment or question, please send it to helpdesk@co.missoula.mt.us.
When sending in a problem, please include any helpful information such what page you were
on (i.e. Name Search, TaxID Search, etc..), what information you expected to see but could
not find or what TaxID you used to conduct a search that ended with an error or problem.
This will help us to reproduce the problem or error, which will help us fix it.
