Property Information System Help
Welcome to the new Property Information System Help website. The purpose of this website is to provide tips and helpful information on how to use the new Property Information System.
This new system will require Adobe's Flash Player, version 10 to view properly. You can download this player on Adobe's Flash Player download page at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. Be careful to uncheck any additional downloads you may not want when on Adobe's download page.
The first page you will see is the new splash screen. This screen serves multiple purposes. There are several tabs of information on this screen divided into tabs. The list of tabs are as follows:
- Welcome - This tab contains the welcome message.
- Disclaimer - This tab contains our important disclaimer information.
- About Map Data - This tab introduces features about the map data.
- Help - This tab provide brief tips on getting started and links to this Help web content for more help information.
- Login - This tab contains the login box where users who have a subscription can enter their credentials to access Name and Advanced search features for both Property and Records searches.
When you are ready to begin using the system, just click on the "Close" button at the bottom of the splash screen. You will notice that page seems dimmed behind the splash screen. This is normal. When you do click on the close button, the screen will resume normal color.
Name and Advanced Searches by Subscription Only
If you are a business with a business license you can apply to purchase an annual subscription to have direct name and advanced search features available for both Property and Records search panels. If you would like to apply, please send an email to helpdesk@co.missoula.mt and ask if we can send you the application form and web policy information.
If you are a member of a State of Federal organization you will still need to apply, however, the costs are waived for government organizations.
The Missoula County Commissioners established this policy to protect Missoula County residents from direct access by name and advanced searches online. This is why we do not allow general access to name and advanced search features on either the older or the newer Property Information Systems.
