Missoula County Park Board


Meetings


The Missoula County Park Board meets on the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 PM in room 201 of the County Courthouse Annex, 200 W Broadway, unless otherwise posted.

Matching Grants Information


The Missoula County Park Board frequently forms partnerships with local organizations and homeowner associations to improve County parks and other recreation areas. In these partnerships, the Park Board provides planning assistance and some funding; in turn, the local group matches those funds and agrees to continually maintain the park.

Weed Grants Information


Each year, the Missoula County Park Board seeks neighborhood groups and individuals to work with the Board and the Missoula County Weed Control District on the development of weed control measures on county parklands. The County Weed District has a City/County partnership grant program to assist in developing and implementing Integrated Weed Management (IWM) programs. County Parks qualify for this grant program.

Missoula County Park Steward Award


2009 Park Steward Award Recipient Pat KeffelerSince 2003, the Missoula County Park Board has recognized exceptional people or organizations that work on behalf of Missoula County Parks by presenting them with the Park Steward Award. Awardees are given a certificate and their names are added to a plaque on display at the Missoula Public Library.

The 2009 award recipient was Ms. Pat Keffeler who was honored for her efforts to create and gradually improve Schmautz Park in Target Range over the past fourteen years.
