- If you are on a septic system, be sure to have your system inspected and serviced at least every three years.
- Do not over-fertilize your lawn or garden. For pest and weed control use the minimum amount needed of the least-toxic product available. Contact the County Extension Office for more information: 258-4200.
- Fix vehicle oil leaks. Recycle used motor oil.
- Never pour hazardous chemicals down any drain or on the ground where they can travel to streams or into the aquifer.
