What Does This Include?
This includes empty containers which come in various sizes: 5, 10, 30, and 55 gallon, and come in various types: metal, plastic, and fiber.
- Check with neighbors, family, or friends to find a reuse opportunity, or sell at a garage sale. Containers that held hazardous materials should not be used for food or other direct contact uses.
- Clean metal drums and pails can be recycled. Contact local recycling outlets for more information. The MT Dept. of Agriculture offers a pesticide container recycling program. Click here for information and schedules.
- Trash: Clean plastic drums and pails that do not contain hazardous residues may be placed in the trash.
